Excavations for missing persons at occupied Trachonas to continue this week

Excavation works at the occupied village of Trachonas will be continuing this week at a different location, approximately about 70 metres west of the point  where human remains were found recently.

Nestoras Nestoros, the Greek Cypriot member at the Committee on missing persons (CMP) told CNA that the excavation works are expected to begin within the week and they will be carried out at the so called `point 2` which is west of `point 1` where human remains belonging to 20 people were found.

He also said that the Turkish Cypriot side has been requested to submit information on a third point.
