Papademos poised to take on interim PM job today

FORMER Greek central bank vice president Lucas Papademos is set to become the next Greek Prime Minister later today after joining Greek political leaders at powersharing talks to form a new government this morning.

Papademos joined this morning’s talks shortly after the start of the meeting between Prime Minister George Papandreou and opposition leader Antonis Samaras.

Papandreou has promised to quit when the coalition deal is reached.
