Three injured as rival fans clash before Limassol match

Three people were injured on Sunday before an AEL-Apollon match in Limassol after fans from the rival team clashed on the way to the stadium, the Cyprus News Agency reported.

The report said that shortly before the match, at an intersection near the new port, two groups of rival fans ran into each other and began to throw stones and flares.

CNA said the fans scattered when the police arrived but three people aged 22, 26 and 28 were injured. No further details were available.
