All must accept blame in Bosnia

Sir,
In his article last week, ‘Srebrenica: justice at last?’, Gwynne Dyer says “Neither Muslims nor Croatians had any reason to apologise for the horrors at Srebrenica. It is the Serbs and the Dutch who need to apologise”.

I would like to remind him that even though what happened in Srebrenica was horrible, all parties in that war are to blame for something.  There were just as many murders committed by Muslims and Croats and it seems as though there is no mention of any blame or apology anywhere.

All sides need to surrender their war criminals, apologise, forgive each other and try to forget. This is the only way this region will heal, move beyond the past and look into the future.

Assigning blame to only one side in such a conflict is not only irresponsible, it is also ignorant.
