Work experience for jobless graduates

The Human Resources Development Authority (ANAD) said it would offer 26 weeks of paid working experience to unemployed degree holders under 35-years-old, it was announced on Tuesday.

The authority said it received 2,931 applications from young unemployed degree holders and 1,135 applications from businesses and organisations offering 4,726 job positions.

The aim of the programme is to offer working experience based on the specific degree and preferences.

According to ANAD, the degree holders will be paid €125 per week.

Contributions will also be made to the social insurance and social cohesion funds.

Insurance for the whole period of the placement will also be covered by ANAD.

The evaluations of the applicants and the beginning of their working experience will start in October.
