Joined in art

The Diachroniki Gallery in Nicosia had its opening yesterday of a joint painting exhibition by Petros and Nefeli Ptohopoulos, which will be on until the end of the month.

Petros explains that his collection at the gallery is a body of work that has been fabricated over 40 years. “During this time I have been showcasing works to do with the invasion and occupation of our country.”

Nefeli’s collection is under the name Music World and uses the interplay of colour and shapes to bring to life the dreamy world of music.

The artist explains that “music and painting work together to awaken the two main senses, sight and hearing. I believe these senses touch our souls and allow us to open windows to new experiences.”
