Soldiers pull woman from car wreck

A woman was rescued from a car wreck by two British bases soldiers in Limassol on Thursday.

The two soldiers, from the 2nd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment based in Episkopi, were travelling in a minibus directly behind the woman when the accident happened.

“As soon as we saw the car flip we jumped out of the minibus to make sure the woman was ok. Colour Sergeant Wilkinson ran over to check the engine of the car and immediately sprayed the fire extinguisher to ensure it didn’t catch on fire,” Private Scott Rodhan, said.

According to the soldiers the woman only had some scratches and is ok.

Major Andy Breach, their commanding officer, praised his men.

“What they did is what we would expect of any of our soldiers,” Breach said
