Archbishop seeking a return to religious harmony

ARCHBISHOP Chrysostomos said on Monday that Cyprus never had a religious problem and Greek and Turkish Cypriots lived together happily for centuries.
Chrysostomos was speaking after a meeting with Turkish Cypriot Mufti Talip Atalay in Nicosia.
“We lived together for centuries. We were happy and we want to re-live those beautiful days for the good of Cyprus,” Chrysostomos said.
The two religious leaders said they will meet again after the Turkish Cypriot elections.
The meeting was part of the interreligious dialogue, held under the aegis of the Swedish embassy.
