Speeding at 195kmph

A 21-year-old driver was caught driving at almost double the legal speed limit on the motorway, police said on Friday.

The youth was caught at 1.20am near Latsia, on the outskirts of Nicosia, doing 195 kilometres per hour. The legal limit is 100.

The 21-year-old was charged and released to be summoned at a later date.
