Officers injured by arrested man

Two police officers, a man and a woman, were lightly injured on Tuesday afternoon in Larnaca when a 35-year-old man brought in for disturbing the peace attacked them.
According to police reports, the man, who was drunk attacked the two officers who were trying to calm him down at the Larnaca police station.
The two officers were taken to the Larnaca hospital, where they were treated and discharged.
Reportedly the man was also carrying a retractable knife.
He was arrested and is expected to be presented before court on Wednesday for a remand.
