Cyprus Airways staff protest

Cyprus Airways staff protested outside parliament earlier as the House Finance Committee met behind closed doors to discuss the implementation of the airline’s rescue package.

Present at the meeting which began at 11am are Finance Minister Harris Georgiades and Transport Minister Tasos Mitsopoulos.

Along with the rescue package, the committee is due to discuss the company’s decision to make staff redundancies.
