Man arrested on suspicion of possessing child porn

Police have arrested a 38-year-old man in Larnaca on suspicion of possessing child porn. He was remanded on Saturday for five days.
The man was arrested after EUROPOL issued an alert to Cyprus police that an IP address traced to Cyprus had downloaded 18 such files.
Police, after issuing a search warrant to probe the man’s internet activities, went to the suspect’s place of work and in the presence of his boss, searched his computer where they said they found the files and subsequently arrested the 38-year-old.
They also searched his home and confiscated his personal computer.
