New year to begin with wintry weather

Starting from the early hours of the New Year’s Day, Cyprus is due to hit some wintry weather meteorological official, Panayiotis Mouskos, said on Tuesday.
On Thursday the island will experience a drop in temperature, storms, and snowfall in the mountain areas.
While signs of worsening weather will start on Thursday and Friday, Mouskis predicts that the height of the winter system will hit on Saturday January 3.
There will be a 2C drop in temperature on Thursday and a further drop on Saturday to around 13C inland and to 15C along the coast.
