Dates of payments for Christmas benefits released

The labour ministry said on Monday that arrangements have been made for all pensions and benefits to be paid before Christmas as follows:

Α. Payments made by direct transfer:

The minimum guaranteed income, including the Christmas bonus, will be in beneficiaries’ accounts on December 11.

Monthly benefits paid to the disabled will be in beneficiaries’ accounts on December 15.

Special monthly pensions and benefits from the victims’ relief fund, including the Christmas bonus, will be in beneficiaries accounts on December 11.

The children’s allowance and the allowance for single parent families will be in beneficiaries’ accounts on December 11.

Benefits paid to veterans and widows of World War 2 veterans will be in beneficiaries’ accounts on December 11.

The Christmas bonus as part of the honorary mothers’ subsidy will be in beneficiaries’ accounts on December 17.

The special benefit (small cheque) for low income pensioners will be in beneficiaries’ accounts on December 16.

The Christmas bonus for beneficiaries of the special support scheme for low income pensioners will be in beneficiaries’ accounts on December 17.

The retroactive increase in the special benefit for low income pensioners (small cheque) will be in beneficiaries’ accounts on December 21.

Β. Payments made by cheque

Public assistance and Christmas bonus cheques will be sent to beneficiaries on December 10, with a cash date of December 14.

Public assistance and Christmas bonus cheques for those who receive urgent public assistance will be sent to beneficiaries on December 4 and December 11, with a cash date of December 8 and 15 respectively.

Cheques for the enclaved, including the monthly allowance and Christmas bonus will be delivered to beneficiaries through the UN on December 16. Enclaved Maronites will receive their allowance by direct payment into their accounts on December 14.

Cheques for asylum seekers will be sent to beneficiaries on December 15 with a cash date of December 17.

C Pensions

Social security pensions, social pensions and the honorary allowance for December 2020 as well as the 13th (bonus) pension will be paid on December 16.
