Coronavirus: financial ombudsman’s office closed for two days after case found

The office of the financial ombudsman will be closed for two working days due to a confirmed Covid-19 case, it was announced on Sunday.

An employee in the office had reported light symptoms and was tested along with other colleagues on Saturday. The financial ombudsman himself Pavlos Ioannou, as well as all the other staff tested negative but for the one individual who tested positive.

In line with procedures to disinfect the area, the office will be closed for two working days and will reopen on Wednesday morning, the ombudsman said.

Nonetheless, customer service over the phone and email should continue as normal, he added.
