Nea Salamina cruise to victory against Enosis (Updated)

Nea Salamnia defeated Enosis Neon Paralimniou by 2-0 and won their first points of the season while Paralimni remain rooted at the bottom of the table after three consecutive defeats.

It was a rather easy win for Salamina who dominated play from the beginning even though they had to wait till two minutes after the restart to take the lead with a Wagner goal.

Breno made sure of the points late on in the game defeating Paralimni’s goalkeeper direct from the corner kick.

AEK dropped their first points of the season as they were held to a goalless draw by the pleasant surprise of the league so far, new boys Karmiotissa. Karmiotissa have played 3 of the top six teams so far and have drawn twice and were desperately unlucky to lose the third against Omonia.

AEK did have the better chances especially in the final ten minutes of the game but Hately, Acoran and Taulemeusse could not beat veteran keeper Kyrenios.

Karmiotissa could have snatched all three points but Kapartis’ long range effort came off the post with AEK’s goalkeeper Tonio well beaten.

Despite playing with 10 for almost all the second half Doxa Katokopias claimed the three points against Olympiakos and climbed up to fourth place, level on points with Apollon, AEK and Anorthosis at the top.

Zacharious gave Olympiakos the lead in the seventh minute but Doxa fought back and equalized through Carlitos 13 minutes later.

Sadik scored the winner in the 70th minute from the penalty spot.
