Burglar electrocutes himself stealing cables

 A ROMANIAN man trying to steal cables from an electricity sub-station got himself electrocuted and caused a power outage at a Nicosia suburb.

The man, currently being treated in hospital for burns, had broken into a sub-station on Tseri Avenue where he got electrocuted, causing a temporary outage in the suburb of Strovolos.

It was his second sub-station burglary of the night.
