Remanded for selling drugs

TWO BULGARIAN men, aged 26 and 29, were remanded in custody for seven days on Monday in connection with possession of prescription pills and synthetic drugs, which they were allegedly selling to tourists in the Famagusta area.
Police said they have seized 2,392 pills, 932 (unspecified) medications, and a quantity of what appears to be synthetic cannabis.
A prescription is necessary to be in a possession of some of the pills, police spokesman Andreas Angelides said.
The suspects told police they sold the drugs to tourists holidaying in the area.
The drugs were found during searches in a shop and the suspects’ residences, police said.
Police also found €3,060 in cash.
