Georgian sisters hit by truck

Two Georgian sisters, 23 and 25, were seriously injured in a road accident on Wednesday night in downtown Paphos.

According to a police report, at approximately 8.40 pm on Wednesday, a 27-year-old resident of Mouttallos, Paphos, hit the two women with his truck while they were trying to cross Apostolos Pavlos Avenue on foot.

The two women were rushed to Paphos General, where the attending doctors said the 23-year-old had suffered heavy cranial injuries and a haematoma, requiring her immediate transfer to Nicosia General. The 25-year-old suffered bruises to the head and lacerations on her right extremities. She remained at Paphos hospital.
