Injured while parasailing

TWO foreign nationals were being treated in hospital on Saturday after they were injured in a parasailing accident in Protaras.
One of them lost three front teeth while the other suffered a broken nose.
A third person escaped without injury.
The accident happened at 11.30am on Friday.
The three had gone to a water sports company in Protaras and paid to go parasailing in which a parachute is towed by a boat.
As they ascended – 1.5 metres up – the rope snapped resulting in the three falling into the sea.
The two were injured when they hit an aluminium bar. They were rushed to hospital where they were kept for treatment.
Paralmini police are investigating the incident.
