Greece and Turkey yet to decide on dates of negotiators’ visits

GREECE and Turkey will determine when the visits of the Greek Cypriot negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis and Turkish Cypriot negotiator Kudret Ozersay to Ankara and Athens, respectively, are going to take place, diplomatic sources have told Cyprus New Agency.
According to the same sources, the visits have been scheduled for the beginning of August but specific dates have not yet been decided.
The negotiators will meet on July 1, ahead of the next meeting of the two leaders – President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu – on July 4. The two leaders will discuss issues relating to the bicommunal technical committees, confidence building measures, the way forward and the problems that have come up at the negotiations, which began after their joint statement on February 11 this year.
