Arrest for pharmacy robbery

A 28-year-old man from Bulgaria has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a pharmacy in Paphos.

According to the police, the owner of the pharmacy reported that a thief entered his shop, pushed him and grabbed €20 in cash and 14 pills from a drawer after he refused to give the perpetrator a type of prescription medication.

When the owner tried to call the police, the thief ran to his car, which was parked outside. The owner ran after him but injured his leg in the chase.

The perpetrator, who was arrested at Paphos airport, admitted to the robbery, police said.
