Arrest for attempted murder in 2017

A 24-year-old from India was arrested on Sunday in connection with the attempted murder in November 2017 of a 29-year-old and a 23-year-old, also from India.

According to the police, during a search carried out on Sunday morning after a search warrant was granted, at a property in Limassol the 24-year-old was found with no papers to prove his identity so he was arrested.

Further investigations showed he had been staying illegally in Cyprus, while witness evidence points to his involvement in the attempted murder.

On November 2, 2017 two injured people were found in the same area and taken for treatment at Limassol general hospital.

Investigations revealed that the two Indian men has been attacked with knives by a group of men from India.
