Consultants invited to discover financing opportunities and grants schemes to SMEs

An event organized by the EBRD and the CICMC

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry (MECI), and the Cyprus Institute of Certified Management Consultants organise an open event to present to Cyprus-based consultants the financing opportunities and grants scheme tailored to SMEs.

The event will take place on 17 April 2019, at 16:00, at the Grey Terrace Café Restaurant (PASYDY), in Nicosia. Mr. Spyros Rayias, President of the board of Directors of CICMC, will address the event and Mr. Louis Loizou, member of the board of Directors of CICMC, will make a presentation on the significance of advisory services in today’s business world. The “Advice for Small Businesses” (ASB) programme and, in particular, the grants to SMEs in order to procure business advisory services will be presented by Ms. Xenia Chrysostomou, Analyst of EBRD ASB, SME Finance & Development Group, following Mr. Christos Fotiades, Senior Officer of Commerce & Industry, at MECI, who will present the grant schemes for the period 2014-2020.

Our aim is to assist local businesses become stronger and more competitive by providing the valuable input of experienced consultants in specialized areas. Since May 2017 the ASB programme has supported nearly 70 projects in strategy, marketing, organisation, ICT, quality management etc. The projects are delivered by local consultants, who passed the pre-qualification and are included in the EBRD database. I would like to encourage local consultants to attend the event and learn more about ASB programme and pre-qualification criteria for consultants to start participating in the programme”, stated Ms. Anna Filipova, National Programme Manager for the ABS programme in Cyprus.
