Eleven tourists honoured for repeatedly visiting Ayia Napa

Eleven tourists from Norway were named Ayia Napa Ambassadors of Tourism in the first ceremony for 2019, held by the Mayor Yiannos Karousos.

The ceremony was held on Friday, at the municipal offices of Ayia Napa. Karousos welcomed the visitors, explaining why they had received the award, saying that their frequent visits represent Ayia Napa in their home country.

He told them that they are now part of the Ayia Napa family, and thanked them for frequently choosing the town for their holidays.

He told CNA that “Repeat visitors represent and advertise the city in the best and most influential way abroad.”

The tourists that received awards were: Toril Elisabeth Werner Gudbrandsen (80 visits), Geraldine Esther Loose (55 visits), Lillian Marie Lande (30 visits), Kollbjørn Bogen (30 visits), Per Aslak and Kari Adland (30 visits), Arne Kristoffer and Tove Marion Sollid (28 visits), Jan Agnar and Signy Marie Kletteng (21 visits) and Oddny Karoline Andreassen (20 visits).
