Police bag drunk cyclist in Limassol

Police said on Sunday they arrested as cyclist who was almost three times over the limit in Limassol just before dawn.

Traffic police came across the 31-year-old cyclist who appeared to be drunk and breathalysed him, during which he tested at 80mg instead of the legal 22mg. The final blood test put the alcohol level at 59mg.

“Also, on the basis of further examinations, he was found to be illegally on the territory of the Republic of Cyprus so he was arrested,” police said.
