Major ‘cutbacks’ at the central bank

Central Bank boss Chrystalla Georghadji on Thursday seen shaving off, not interest rates or bank charges, but moustaches to mark Movember at the central bank offices in Nicosia whose staff joined up for the event. ‘Movember’ is a portmanteau of moustache and November; also known as No-Shave November. It is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches and beards during the month of November to raise awareness of various cancers, such as prostate.
