Participate in a simultaneous European film screening

Want to feel part of the European film world? Europa Cinemas the LUX Prize will set up a simultaneous screening in 28 European Countries. The film to be screened will be a German-Austrian film Styx by Wolfgang Fischer, one of the three finalists of the LUX Prize and Europa Cinemas Label at the Berlinale in 2018.

A streamed Q&A will follow the screening, enabling audiences across Europe to interact directly with the film cast, creating a truly symbolic European debate, by using the Lux Prize accounts on Twitter and Facebook.

The European Parliament launched the LUX FILM PRIZE in 2007, aiming to boost the distribution of European films across Europe, and to encourage a European debate on major social issues. The LUX FILM PRIZE gives three European films the rare opportunity to be subtitled in the EU’s 24 official languages. The winner of the LUX FILM PRIZE will be chosen by the Members of the European Parliament and announced on November 14, 2018.

Since 2012 the three films competing for the prize have been shown to a wider European audience during the LUX FILM DAYS. Within this process, the audience has the opportunity to vote for their favorite film via website, luxprize.eu, or its Facebook page before January 31. So if you like what you see, give it a vote.
