Nicosia roads to close on Wednesday for Rally trial (map)

Traffic will be disrupted in central Nicosia on Wednesday afternoon, as drivers taking part in the Cyprus Rally will be scouting the route of the special stage scheduled for Sunday.

Roads included in the route will be partially closed between 3pm and 8pm on Wednesday.

The roads are: Rigenis Street, from the junction with Arsinois to the Marcos Drakos Roundabout (Paphos Gate), Egypt Street, Museum Street, from the junction on Nehru Street to Paphos Gate, Kiniras Street, from Ayios Pavlos and Navarino Streets junction to Paphos Gate, Marcos Drakos Street to Ledra Palace, Charalambos Mouskos Street, from junction at Ledra Palace to Kiniras Street, Costis Palamas Street, left lane to Omirou Street closed, Hilonos Street towards the town centre closed, traffic diverted to Lord Byron Avenue,

The roads will be closed from 11pm on Saturday until 3pm Sunday.
