MTN launches its annual voluntary program “21 Days of Y’ello Care”

For another year MTN actively contributes to society through its corporate social responsibility voluntary program ‘21 Days of Y’ello Care’. Last year, within the context of the same program, MTN created Y’ello Digital Rooms at Youth Centers of seven villages all over Cyprus, so that young people of those areas have access to modern facilities and technology. MTN continues this initiative in 2018 as well by creating five more Y’ello Digital Rooms.

For 21 days, the MTN personnel works voluntarily for the creation of five new Y’ello Digital Rooms at the villages of Mammari, Orounta, Eptagonia, Psevdas and Kalo Chorio.

The work needed for the creation of the Yellow Digital Rooms includes cleaning, painting, furnishing and decoration. MTN will also equip all Yellow Digital Rooms with computers and laptops, so that community members can study and stay up-to-date digitally. Upon the completion of the rooms, MTN will give seminars related to internet safety and cyberbullying and will also inform participants about career opportunities in telecoms. The seminars will also include presentations regarding the ways that ICT and Digital technology influence the future world of work and employment.

Through its annual volunteering program ‘21 Days of Y’ello Care’ MTN once again supports organizations and community groups. For a second consecutive year, the emphasis is given on the Cypriot youth through the creation of the Y’ello Digital Rooms.
