A classical, pop evening

The Droushia Heights Hotel in Paphos is well known for putting on lectures, giving guests a relaxing time and also for its delicious buffet meals. But the hotel is also a place where you could shake it up with a musical event or two.

This week things will be given a musical vibe by singer and multi-instrumentalist Glenn Barnes, who will perform in aid of the Polis Animal Rescue Group.

An established entertainer in the UK, Barnes now calls Cyprus home. The move didn’t happen long ago but he is already getting around and trying out his voice and music on the island’s crowd.

He is influenced by four decades of classic pop including hits by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Neil Young, Animals, Bob Dylan, The Doors, George Ezra and many others. He incorporates many of these classical pieces into his act and is ready to take us back to the golden era of the 60s, while also bringing us up to musical date.

Barnes plays acoustic guitar, 12 string guitar, electric guitar, banjo and the harmonica, proving that he is a musician through and through.

The bar will open at 6.30pm and the Christmas buffet included in the price for the evening will be served at 7pm and the music will take you into the night.
