Both Europa Donna Cyprus and Movember Cyprus are doing all they can to raise awareness about cancer and save lives.
In the fight against breast cancer, Europa Donna has set a number of frames around the island and asks everyone to take a photo within the frames and upload them to social media accounts with the hashtag #frameforlife. Every photo symbolises awareness, support and the passing on of knowledge.
The frames can be found at all Beauty Line stores in all cities, all Café La Modes, Marks and Spencer in Nicosia, the BMW/ Mini and Nissan showrooms in Nicosia, and at the Carob Mill Restaurant in Limassol.
You can take your photos without these special white frames with pink butterflies and the pink ribbon, until the end of the year.
While the Frame for Life event is running to raise awareness about breast cancer, the Movember events will raise awareness for prostate cancer.
With the slogan ‘Grow a Mo. Save a Bro. Stop men dying too young,’ there are a number of events. The first one on Sunday invites all men to leave some stubble or all their facial hair and get down to the Limassol castle where barbers will be shaving and trimming.
Together with a live link with Love FM, the event will encourage men to grow a moustache to ‘change the face of men’s health.’
These shave events will be repeated in Nicosia on November 1 at the Mall of Cyprus from 11am until 1pm, in Paphos on November 7 at the Kings Avenue Mall from 11am, and in Larnaca at Ermou square on November 8 from 5pm until 7pm.
A full list of events can be found at http://www.facebook.com/Movember-Cyprus-209682472391056/events/.
