Police searching for man who escaped from Menoyia

Police on Thursday were seeking Turkish national Edin Buruggen, 26, who escaped from a detention centre in Menoyia, Kofinou the previous day.

The incident happened at 7.20pm, police said.

The fugitive is of average build, and around 1.80 metres tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans when he escaped.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact Kofinou police on 24 804379 or their nearest police station, or the public hotline 1460.
