Santa rides into town for Paphos schools

Youngsters from Kissonerga and Peyia elementary schools had a surprise visit from Santa and his elves this week after they rode into Paphos on horseback.

With the pandemic restricting movement around the world, Santa’s reindeers have been kept in isolation to make sure nothing stops them from delivering presents on the big day.

So, after taking his Covid test, Santa made a quick call to George’s Ranch to see if they could help him out for a couple of days in the run up to Christmas.

Caroline Scambler, owner of George’s Ranch, said: “It was an honour to help Santa visit the children at two of our local schools and we, of course, gave him one of our best horses, the beautiful Tina.”
