George Michael’s London home sells for £19 million

George Michael fan Stephen Cameron has bought the late singer’s seven bedroom house in north London for £19 million, the Daily Mail reports.

Situated next door to Kate Moss, the Grade II listed home, known as the Grove, was previously let to celebrities for £15,000 per week and had been marketed on the low-key ‘grey market’ whereby agents seek out prospective buyers privately.

Cameron, who runs a medical communications firm, told MailOnline that he had been searching for a new property for four years.

The married father-of-three said: “It’s a beautiful property, stunning and I’m looking forward to living there. I’m also a huge George Michael fan so that makes it even better.

“I know the area really well and have been living in this part of North London for several years. It’s a beautiful house to live in and the whole family is happy.”

Cameron said he had not fixed a date for when he would be moving into the mansion with his wife Clare Harrison and their three children.

Michael, who died from heart and liver complications on Christmas Day in 2016, aged 53, paid £7.65million for the property and spent many of his reclusive years there.

He lived there with Kenny Goss, his partner for 13 years until 2009, and the singer’s famous friends regularly gathered there for parties.

George left the bulk of his £98 million fortune to his sisters Melanie and Yioda. The house appears to have been sold by his father, Kyriacos Panayiotou, and it’s believed the money will go to his family, the Daily Mail added.
