Cyta boosts internet services for vulnerable groups

Cyta has boosted and expanded its internet services, free of charge, to vulnerable groups as renewed restrictions have further increased reliance for online connectivity.

The main beneficiaries of the programme are those in care homes and centres for children as they face even greater challenges during the pandemic.

Over 80 places are to benefit from the boost in services, assisted by the deputy ministry for research and innovation, as care homes for the elderly and children were identified by the labour ministry.

Rena Panou, Cyta president, hailed the cooperation of the three parties which united to help those most in need at such a testing time.
