Coronavirus: Rapid testing locations for Sunday announced

The health ministry announced the points where mobile units will provide free rapid tests to the general public on Sunday.

The units can be found in 12 different areas across Cyprus.

“The programme targets all citizens and especially those employed in public service areas, delivery and front line professionals,” the ministry said.

In Limassol free rapid tests will be provided from 9am to 5pm at Grigori Afxentiou square, Maximos Michaelides regional medical centre in Pachna, Limassol Shopping Centre in Polemidia (former Orphanides) and at Giorgos Seferis cultural centre in Pano Platres.

In Larnaca testing will be carried out at Europe square from 9am to 5pm.

In Famagusta testing will start at 8.30am and last until 5pm at the Panayia Eleousas church in Liopetri.

In Paphos tests will be carried out outside the New church of the birth of Christ in Tala.

Rapid tests in Nicosia will take place at the Mall of Cyprus (Entrance 2) from 10.30am to 5pm and from 9am to 5pm in Eleftheria square, Apostolos Loukas church in Palaichori, Arediou community council and Galatas primary school.

Citizens will be informed of the result within 24 hours but also in writing from the mobile units within 30 minutes after testing.
