Try these fun activities at home to kill boredom

In this exhausting pandemic situation, no matter what we try, it gets boring at some point. Or maybe we have become lazier than before? Maybe you have tried enough already but still couldn’t find something worth your while? Whatever it is, I will take care of that in this post. Even if you are done with cooking and baking as doing something new, we are going to find out some other FUN Activities that will boost your mood.

What do you normally do when you are bored? Scrolling through your Instagram newsfeed is not entertaining sometimes. You can ask everyone in the house to sit and play BarGames101.com card games with you. But not everyone is interested in it. So, you have to have enough ideas to bust boredom. Being said that, check out my list of the best 5 fun activities that you can try during the quarantine.

  1. Start gardening

Green always does good things for us, so there is no harm in planting as many as you can. Moreover, gardening reduces our stress level and refreshes the environment around us. It intensifies our home and makes us happier than ever. Try your hands on planting trees outside and inside your house. You can plant various colorful flowers in your backyards and indoor plants inside your house to purify the air around you.

  1. Read as many books as you can

Once you start reading, you will find nothing else as interesting as books. Reading not only improves your imagination skills but also helps you see the world from different perspectives. You learn from other people’s imagination when you read fiction novels. Even if you don’t like reading fiction stories, you can try non-fiction which is a great source of knowledge. If you want to be more powerful and wise, practice reading books from now on. If you are not sure what types of books you like the most, join a local book club, or get a library membership.

  1. Learn a new language or take online classes

Is there something you wanted to learn but couldn’t get your hands on it? Now is the time. You have plenty of time in hand as you are working from home in this covid 19 pandemic. You can hop into online sites like Unacademy, Udemy, etc. to take courses. There is everything you would want to improve your skills and knowledge. Moreover, if you want to do professional courses to add another degree to your resume, start online this year.

You can also learn new languages as long as you are self-disciplined and consistent. This technology has given us everything we need. Therefore, trying out Duolingo, or Rosetta stone will be fun, to begin with. Learning is always fun, no matter what you are receiving. Just be assured that you are not wasting time like your friends who are scrolling through social media right now.

  1. Write a journal

When you start writing down your feelings, ideas, or problems on a piece of paper, you will find yourself stress-free more than ever before. Moreover, writing gives you an opportunity to discover yourself. I used to write in my journal when I was 20 years old. I haven’t written in it for like 2 years. But when I opened that diary after all these days and started to read what I wrote when I was younger, I felt that I have completely changed. I couldn’t recognize the person who wrote those words. I felt like it was a different me. That’s what happens when you develop. And the only way to get back to the past is by seeing what you were; writing a journal gives you that opportunity.

  1. Work out sometimes

Even if you don’t feel like reading, schedule a regular workout plan. Exercise in your free time to boost your energy also helps in removing stress. You don’t have to get a goal like losing or gaining weight. Just work out to stay fit and kill time, that’s all.

So, what’s your plan on killing time this quarantine? You can do more beyond this list of fun activities that we have provided you. Or you can find your own interests and start work on them. Whatever you do, always do it to improve your physical and mental wellness. Stay connected for more insightful articles and don’t forget to share your thoughts in the below box.
