Jail sentences for drug offenders

Limassol criminal court on Monday handed down an eight year and a four-year jail sentence to two men found guilty on drug charges in two separate cases.

In the first instance a 40-year old found guilty of supplying 2 kilos of cannabis and conspiring to acquire 500 grams of MDMA was jailed for eight years.

And a 34-year old was jailed for four years for possession of two kilos of cannabis. Another three people who were arrested in connection with the same cases are still on trial.
