Coronavirus: Positive case at Palodia rehabilitation home

A nurse at the Eoka rehabilitation centre in Palodia has tested positive for coronavirus but tests among her contacts so far have come back negative, its director Savvas Savva told the Cyprus News Agency on Monday.
He said the health professional, who works at rehabilitation unit for elderly residents, tested positive on Saturday and her six contacts, three health professionals and six residents were isolated and tested.
The area has been disinfected and the contacts isolated. On Monday evening, the centre was notified that the three health professionals had tested negative. Results for the three residents are due on Tuesday.
As a precaution, the centre has decided to test all residents and staff at the care home for the elderly.
Moreover, it today suspended the operation of all its out-patient clinics for a week. Visits to residents have been prohibited for the past three weeks.
