Coronavirus: positive case closes Famagusta tax office

The tax department announced on Monday that due to a positive coronavirus case, the Famagusta office will not serve the public on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

“We are taking all the necessary steps to address the issue, including the disinfection of the premises,” the department said in an announcement. 

Last week, the department has also extended the deadline for the payment of any outstanding tax for self-assessed tax for 2019 to November 30.
