Germany’s new law to force dog owners to walk their dogs twice a day

Dog owners in Germany may soon be required by law to walk their dogs at least twice a day, for a total of at least one hour. The country’s agriculture minister says she will introduce the new law next year. The new law will also ban keeping dogs chained for long periods. If passed, it will be up to each of Germany’s states to enforce the law. But the move has already unleashed a lively debate in Germany… the German Dog Association says one rule for all dogs is probably well meant, but unrealistic.
