Coronavirus: 91 more people test positive

The health ministry on Monday announced 91 new coronavirus cases after 2,285 tests, the majority of which at the Republic’s two airports.

Health authorities said 12 passengers tested positive for the Coronavirus. The remaining 79 cases, or one in 13 people tested, were community infections.

Out of those, 35 were contacts of known cases, detected after 345 tests, or one in 10.

The total number of positive cases since March rose to 3,636.

Thirty-one people are being treated in hospital including four at the high dependency unit and two in an ICU.

Turkish Cypriot health authorities announced 11 new cases after conducting 2,140 tests in the past 24 hours.

Two concerned passengers who flew in, five were detected among ferry passengers, and four were community infections.

The total number of cases in the north rose to 910.
