Coronavirus: zero new cases for fifth time this week

For the fifth time this week no new cases of coronavirus were announced.

The total confirmed number of cases remains at 985.

The health ministry said on Saturday a total of 808 tests were processed over the previous 24 hours.

Those who were tested included 192 passenger arrivals at Larnaca, which included visitors and repatriates.  There were 179 people who tested privately, 101 people from schools, 149 were workers in the hospitality sector, while 16 were tested through contact tracing.

Only one patient is currently being treated at Famagusta General, the Covid reference hospital.
