Knife fight over personal differences leaves two in hospital (updated)

Two men from Nicosia who tried to solve their differences at dawn on Sunday ended up in a knife fight, police said.

According to police a 29-year-old man, accompanied by a woman, went to the apartment of a 34-year-old with the intention of solving their personal differences.

Once inside the apartment, the younger man appears to have attacked the other with a knife, injuring him in several parts of his body. The younger one also received some injuries.

Police were called to the scene and when they got there called for an ambulance to take the older man to hospital, but he wouldn’t let it.

A few minutes later in a field near the apartment, the 29-year-old was found bleeding.

Both men were arrested and taken to Nicosia general to have their wounds treated.

Police are continuing their investigations.
