Man arrested for possessing injectable vitamins

A 40-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after a large number of injectable vitamin ampules and pills were located in his car during routine traffic checks in Ayios Dometios in Nicosia, for which he had no permit.

Police also arrested a 60-year-old man later in the day in connection with the case, reportedly a doctor.

Officers located 525 injectable vitamin ampules and 500 pills in the 40-year-old’s car while a large number of ampules and other substances were located in the 60-year-old’s property. The latter’s property was searched after police secured a testimony linking him with the case.

Both men were arrested for the illegal possession of pharmaceuticals. They are to be taken in court on Thursday.
