Police arrest seven people living illegally on the island

Paphos police have arrested seven people for illegally staying on the island, they announced on Sunday.

After acting on a tip-off police found four men and three women, all from Georgia, living illegally in Cyprus in a flat in Kato Paphos.

Investigations at the migration department showed two of them had entered Cyprus illegally, from the occupied areas while one of them had been expelled from the island in the past.

The seven were taken to police holding sells while moves to deport them are started.
