Three arrested in drug bust

Three people were arrested by the drug squad in Nicosia on Friday night after police seized 6.1kg of cannabis, authorities said on Saturday.

According to police, after receiving a tip, Ykan stopped a 35-year-old man’s car in Nicosia at approximately 5pm. After receiving his consent, police searched his vehicle, where they found a package containing the cannabis, leading to his arrest.

During their investigations, police also received information about two more individuals involved in the incident, a 34-year-old and a 28-year-old.

After receiving a court ordered arrest warrant, the two individuals were also arrested.

The three suspects are being held, Ykan are continuing their investigations.
