Two teenagers being held after drugs arrest (updated)

Two teenagers were on Sunday remanded into police custody for four days after the 18-year-olds were arrested on Saturday in connection with a case of illegal possession and supply of drugs and illegal earnings from criminal activity.

On Saturday afternoon after securing a warrant members of the Drugs Squad searched the home of an 18-year-old in Nicosia, where they also found a second 18-year-old.

During the search police found 21g of cocaine, a precise scale with traces of cocaine on it and €1,460 in cash.

The two teenagers were arrested.
