Rock for children

A musical get-together of various local artists performing to raise money for and promote the Foni Council for abused children will take place later this month under the name Rock for Children.

The Council helps children, parents and adults deal with certain hardships of life, focusing on child sexual abuse.

“The first thing someone loses when living in fear and insecurity is their voice. The real ‘bet’ a society can win is how to protect its children so that they don’t fall victims of sexual abuse,” says Foni.

To drum up awareness and funds, a lively event has been organised for people to come together and rock out to some tunes, with all proceeds goings towards Foni.

The night kicks off with Anna Michaelidou, who rose to fame on The Voice of Greece show. Harmanides band will follow, known for pumping the crowd with their uplifting Greek rock music, energetic stage performance, as well as using a more unique set of instruments to share their message.

Last up will be Flux, a heavy metal band whose sole purpose is to rock the night through “insane guitar solos”, heavy bass riffs, fast-paced drumming, and powerful vocals.
